Want me? Several things you can do.
I will always be answering my phone – 317-250-9081. Texting to that cell number is a solid way to get my attention. My work email is kahlrichs (@) gregoryappel.com. My personal email is karl (@) expertspeaks.com.
The web site for my speaking topics? http://www.expertspeaks.com

Office Decoration for the New Era. My mission is to make things simple, point out the irony, and have fun. Everything else is small stuff.
People say I help audiences and clients make order from chaos. I am a national speaker and writer, and am often quoted in the local and national media.
Currently I am writing a book (Working title “Uncommon Sense”) and am a part of Gregory and Appel. Founded in 1884, Gregory & Appel is the oldest independently-owned insurance agency in Indiana.
I have done lots of different things, and I hope to do many more before I am done. Now for the boring bits – prior experience was as a partner at ExactHire, and Senior Consultant for Professional Staff Management, a PEO. Earlier I was Director of Business Development in the Indianapolis office of Marsh & McLennan, and Vice President of Right Management Consultants, an international human resources consulting and outplacement firm. At those firms, my clients included Roche, Boeing, Apple Computer, Anthem, and Frito Lay.
I love making connections. I facilitate an invitation-only roundtable for Indiana CFOs. For more than a decade I was the Program Chair for the state Society for Human Resources Management annual conference. I am a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), the American Society of Training and Development, and the Association for Psychological Type.
I have won awards for my work. I have won an award in every photography contest I have entered (not that big a deal – I’m 2 out of 2)
In 2003, I was flattered to be named the SHRM Human Resource Professional of the Year for the State of Indiana. I have presented at the Annual SHRM Conference for 10 consecutive years. I received my B.A. in Business from Indiana Wesleyan University and am enrolled in the Butler University M.B.A. program.
I am learning spanish, have two cats, and live in a brick Italianate house with my wife Barbara…
I’m lovin’ N’warlins! I’m lovin’ your commentary…I almost feel like I’m there. Can’t wait to read more…:-)
I’m enjoying your blogs. Great way to experience the conference when you can’t be there! Thanks! Mary Kay
Karl,
This is a great idea. I couldn’t attend this year but by reading your blog I feel I’m getting the best of the best. Keep writing. You may not be getting many comments but I bet you have had many readers.
Have fun!
Pam
